Massaman curry

The Massaman curry is a mild but flavourful curry because of the many spices it contains, making it a popular dish for children.

For 4 persons:

  • Potatoes (solid) : 2
  • Chicken : 300g
  • Shallots : 2
  • Green beans : 300g
  • Koh Thai massaman curry : 3el
  • Koh Thai coconut milk : 165ml
  • Koh Thai fish sauce : 2el

Preparation method:

Step 1: Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes of 1 1/2 cm and cook in 10 min. Until al dente. Clean the green beans and cook until al dente.


Step 2: Meanwhile cut the chicken into cubes of 1.5 cm. Heat oil in a wok and stir-fry the meat in 2 min. Brown. Take out of the wok.


Step 3: Chip the shallots. Heat the rest of the oil in the wok and fry the shallot for 1 min. Add the curry paste and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.


Step 4: Add the potato, chicken, green beans and coconut milk and bring to the boil.


Step 5: Season with the fish sauce. Serve with the rice.


Serving suggestion: Serve the massaman curry with Pandan / Jasmine rice.
