Pad Thai with Tofu

Pad Thai is a classic Thai dish which is often eaten in combination with noodles. The Pad Thai has a typical spicy taste that is a favorite in Thailand. The subtle taste of trassi makes it a truly authentic dish from Central Thailand.

Ingredients

For 2 people:

  • Koh Thai Wok sauce for Pad Thai : 1 bottle
  • Tofu : 300 g
  • Onion : 1
  • Koh Thai rice noodles : 200 g
  • Cashew nuts : 50 g
  • Spring onions : 2
  • Bean sprouts : 125 g
  • Eggs : 4
  • Optional : fresh coriander

Preparation method:

Step 1: Finely chop the onion, the spring onions in small rings and the tofu in small cubes. Roast the cashew nuts and chop coarsely.

Step 2: Meanwhile, cook the rice noodles according to the instructions on the package. Drain the noodles and set aside. Roast the cashews in a dry frying pan.

Step 3: Heat some oil in a wok pan and fry the onion. Add the tofu fry the diced golden brown. Add the noodles and Koh Thai wok sauce for Pad Thai.

Step 4: Beat the eggs in a bowl and bake as an omelette. Remove the omelet from the pan and cut into strips.

Step 5: Add the omelet together with the bean sprouts to the noodles and scoop. Sprinkle the dish with spring onions and cashew nuts. Garnish with fresh coriander if necessary.
