Panang, Penang or Phanaeng curry, everything is possible. This dish comes from the island of the same name, Penang, in Malaysia.
Panang curry is a light curry with notes of lime and lemon. Panang curry is usually prepared with meat. You can also use chicken or shrimp.
For 2 people:
Step 1: Boil the rice according to the method of preparation of the packaging. Cut the beef into strips. Heat some oil in a pan and stir-fry the meat briefly. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 2: Fry the curry paste in a tablespoon of oil. Then add the can of coconut milk and 50 ml of water and bring to the boil. Grill the bimi in the meantime.
Step 3: Add the beef to the pan together with the fish sauce and warm up. Serve the Panang curry with the cooked rice and grilled bimi.
Variation: replace the beef for chicken fillet or tofu.
